About the Trailer Mechanic Position:

As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks on trailers to ensure they are safe, efficient, and roadworthy. Your primary duties will include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and structural issues, repairing or replacing damaged components, conducting routine inspections, and providing expert recommendations on trailer upkeep. You will work with various trailer types, including flatbeds, cargo, and utility trailers, using specialized tools and equipment to perform tasks such as brake repairs, suspension adjustments, electrical wiring, and more. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are key to ensuring that trailers meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical repairs, a strong understanding of trailer systems, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Mechanical expertise & technical skills
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Safety awareness
  • Experience in the trailer/transportation industry preferred.
